Data from the Belitung wreck informed various elements in the construction of the Jewel of Muscat including girth amidships, beam section sizes, angle and sectional dimension of the stem, keel and keelson dimensions (forward), plank thickness, frame size and spacing, as well as the planking timber, beam timber and stem timber.
