Marina Bandar Al-Rowdha
The Board of Directors, management and staff at Marina Bandar Al-Rowdha are proud to be chosen to host the historic vessel Jewel of Muscat as she prepares for her momentous voyage to Singapore.
The marina is located between the warm blue waters of the Gulf of Oman and the craggy Hajar Mountains of northern Oman. There are 500 wet and dry berths serviced by modern launch equipment. Some berths have fresh water and electricity supplies and all are behind security barriers manned 24 hours a day. There is also a fully equipped marine workshop, and a 65 ton travel lift. The marina boasts its own licenced restaurant which serves an international cuisine. Charter boats are available for coastal cruises, whale and dolphin watching, sports fishing and sunset cruises. There is an on-site scuba diving operator. No membership is required to use the above facilities, the restaurant, bar and pools are open to all.
A recently added attraction is a semi-submersible boat, which operates in the beautiful khawrs at Bandar Al-Khayran.
Muscat Governorate
The governorate of Muscat overlooks the Gulf of Oman and is situated in the south of Al-Batinah coast. Towards the east, it extends to the mountain range known as Al-Hajar Al-Sharqi and to Al-Sharqiyah region, and west to the Batinah region, and the Dakhiliya region towards the south. The village has a number of authorised fishing locations making it one of the very popular fishing destinations. Qantab village is located near Al-Jissah and Bandar Al-Jissah, which are very attractive tourist destinations featuring beautiful beaches of coconut palms and a number of historical sites. The area enjoys a charming blend of traditions and modernity flavoured by the natural beauty of the sea.
